Privacy policy

A plain-English summary of how ChildApart handles your information. The full policy you agree to is presented when you create an account in the app.

What we hold

Your account details, the family information you add (children, schedules, messages, expenses, documents, journal entries and decisions), and basic technical information needed to run the service securely.

Why we hold it

To provide the features you signed up for: keeping the shared calendar in sync, delivering messages, tracking costs, storing documents, and keeping records time-stamped and tamper-evident so exports are trustworthy.

Who can see it

Your journal, private notes and unshared documents are visible only to you. Shared items are visible to your co-parent, and to companion or lawyer accounts only where you have granted view-only access. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

How it is protected

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted to what is needed to operate and support the service, and processing is carried out in line with data protection law.

Your control

You can export your records at any time, correct your details, revoke access you have granted, and request deletion of your account and associated data from within the app.

Contact

Privacy questions and data requests can be raised through the help option in your account menu in the app.
